I’ve always thought that advertising agencies would behave differently if it was their money involved in actual product development, rather than just selling. The whole baked in philosophy, although already a few years old, seems like common sense to me, and a way to reduce marketing flakiness. If us marketing types really think we can innovate and improve products – why don’t we prove it?
With this in mind I’m helping develop the McNair Mountain Shirt with Joe Public and Neil McNair. We’re currently investigating the amazing properties of boiled wool, discussing seams, baffles, plackets and buttons, and testing prototypes on the mountain, (well Trafford Mountain). We’ve set ourselves the ridiculously ambitious task of creating the world’s best mountain shirt, and then manufacturing them in the same northern mill that the original Macintosh was produced in.
We’ll have a shirt to show very soon, but for now here’s the logo. (Tch eh? Typical marketing types – logo sorted before the product).

Nice… i’m XL by the way…
