At Mi we’ve recently completed an live action / animation piece for Ask Development’s First Street Development.  Filming was done over two days at various locations around Manchester.

We’d organised everything shot by shot, but as ever with live action things crop up which you’re not expecting.  One evening we had to wait in between each shot while workmen marked out some plans on the floor in front of camera, not an ideal situation. Our model had to sit for over an hour in freezing conditions listening to the very, very, witty comments from the ‘hilarious’ builders. She still managed to smile for the shot though – very professional.

We also had a few interesting moments trying to get models and green screens all moving in time – I don’t think CGI types are known for their co-ordination – but we eventually got there.
